Damon Albarn, the frontman of Blur and Gorillaz, has split from his longtime partner Suzi Winstanley after 25 years together.

The couple, who never married, have a 23-year-old daughter named Missy.

Ms. Winstanley, an artist, is said to be devastated by the end of their relationship and has asked Albarn to leave their home in Notting Hill.

Despite the heartache, Ms. Winstanley was in the crowd at London's Hyde Park earlier this month to watch Albarn perform with Blur as part of the British Summer Time festival.

During lockdown, Albarn spent time in South Devon, where he owns a farmhouse with a music studio. He has recently opened up about struggling in his personal life and how music helps him cope with difficult times.

The most recent Blur album, 'The Ballad Of Darren,' which was released last week and currently tops the charts, is believed to have been influenced by Albarn's relationship with Ms. Winstanley.

Some of the album's lyrics hint at the breakdown of their relationship and Albarn's feelings of responsibility for it.

The musician began dating Suzi Winstanley shortly after his split from Elastica singer Justine Frischmann in 1998.

Ms. Winstanley later dated Brett Anderson, the lead singer of the Britpop band Suede.

In a recent interview, Damon opened up about his feelings about getting older, describing himself as a 'sad 55-year-old'
